Weddings are such a wonderful time of love, the union of two families and excitement!! Dylan and Cheyenne’s was no different! I’ve worked so much with Cheyenne’s mom, Tammy. She makes all of my cake smash cakes, so working with her on wedding plans was so easy! I was thrilled when they contacted me about working on the wedding. I rarely shoot weddings, I usually never do more than one per year. Dylan has been stationed in Guam for a while now, and as soon as they got married they both headed back down there. I know what you’re thinking…wow sandy beaches and warm weather…we can all dream about being so lucky right?
The day was wonderful!! We met at Bella Sala in Tiffin, IA for rehearsal then I headed to Salon Professional Academy in Iowa City with the girls to shoot them getting their hair and makeup done! So fun!! Grabbed lunch and headed back to Bella Sala and the girls all got into their dresses and we did some shots of just the girls. Then I had my chance to work with just the men. Then before we knew it it was time for the ceremony! It was just beautiful! If it weren’t for me having to focus the camera, I probably would have cried!
The reception followed us doing group shots. I was so blessed as Tammy’s husband, also a photographer, helped me pose all the large groups of people! Phew! I don’t know what I would have done without him!
It was a wonderful day, and I wish Dylan and Cheyenne all the best for years and years to come. I pray that their marriage stands the test of time.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 1 Corinthians 13:4-5
